TOM GELO Owner|Freelance Media Artist
Originally from Texas, Tom received a BFA in Theatre Studies (Directing and Playwriting), and a BA in Film and Media Arts from Southern Methodist University in 2014. As a student he was a recipient of the Gold National Scholastic Arts award at Carnegie Hall for his achievements in film, an honor shared by Robert Redford and Andy Warhol. Since moving to Los Angeles, Tom has experienced a dynamic career both in front of, and behind the camera. He worked briefly as a production intern for The American Film Institute before embarking on a freelance production career. His slate of professional production work includes an Assistant Director position under John Stamos, pre-production work for The DeLaurentiis Company, VIP talent management for four seasons (and counting) of NBCUniversal's The Voice, promotional work/ music videos for Damian McGinty (Glee) and international singing group Celtic Thunder. In front of the camera, Tom played the recurring role of "Charlie Skiddoes" in voice and likeness for the NBA2k18
and NBA2k19 video games. Other clients include ACSIA Insurance partners, The San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce, CITY Volleyball League, and The United States Army.
